It all begins with a blank canvas
It all begins with a blank canvas.
If someone had told me a year ago that I’d be creating pet portraits, running my own little art shop, and writing this very blog… I would’ve smiled politely and thought, “That’s a lovely idea, but probably not for me.” Not because it sounded crazy—just unimaginable.
A year ago, I was only two months into a graphic design education. I remember how proud I felt for making that decision. It wasn’t just about a new skill; it was about changing something. Starting over. Picking up a brand new blank canvas—literally and figuratively—and daring to see what I could create.
I didn’t have a clear vision. I had no business plan, no roadmap. But I had this feeling in my chest that said, “Just do something.” Because for a long time, I felt stuck. And the only thing I knew for sure was that I needed movement. I needed color. I needed to make.
I have my steady office job but there was always this part of me craving something more... something just for my soul. And that something turned out to be this.
I was afraid of the blank canvas for so long. But I’m not anymore—not in any way.
So let’s do this.
